Filling
Mix:
2 ½ cups blueberries
3 TBSP corn starch
4 TBSP Heavenly Blueberry balsamic
¼ cup sugar
Plus Additional sugar for sprinkling on top before baking
Topping
Mix:
1 cup sugar
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup milk
8 TBSP Heavenly Butter olive oil
Mix topping ingredients and add to 9×9 baking pan, reserve a little bit of topping mix.
Mix filling ingredients and spoon over topping.
Drop spoonfuls of reserved topping on top of blueberries.
Sprinkle 3-4 tbsp sugar on top and bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes (less time in a convection oven).
Check for doneness around the 45 minute mark- ovens vary.
Topping will rise over filling during baking.
When topping is cooked to a biscuit consistency, sprinkle 2-3 more tbsp. sugar over top and bake additional 3-5 minutes.
Drizzle Heavenly Denissimo balsamic over the top when serving. Add a scoop of ice cream!
